MAY YOU NEVER WALK ALONE

 

I was thinking this morning.... about the month of April which ended yesterday. Truly it was April Full. No one was fooled in April, rather it was a month full of the good, the bad and the ugly.

It was in April that the Ekwueme crooner Osinachi Nwachukwu died from domestic violence. Also in April, a crowd of Nigerians, with some suspected to be druggies and psychos, declared their intentions to be president. Na wa o!

This same April, the Chrisland Schools sex scandal broke exposing a serious lacuna in modern day parenting. April continued with the ugly news of a professional side chic being upgraded to a second wife and the adulterous husband was arrogant enough to announce it on social media. Chai! God airpus o!

Late April, the Abaezi Imo State illegal refinery explosion left over 110 people dead. When I thought April was all doom and gloom, it ended yesterday on a happy note. My mentee and spiritual son, Ebube, got married to his colleague and love, Amaka. As I sat as one of the Fathers of the day during the ceremony, watching them exchange vows, I was reassured that with the right partner, you'll never walk alone.

I am not a fan of Liverpool FC but I believe so much in the words of their anthem 'You'll Never Walk Alone.' Those words should be pure in all forms. If you abandon your authentic wife and sticks to a side chic, thinking you have a partner. You lie. You are walking alone. If you are a criminal minded person, defrauding people and then engage security men to protect you. You are walking alone.

As we go through this new month of May, my prayer for you is that 'You'll Never Walk Alone.' Despite the security challenges in the country, be rest assured that God has given His angels charge over you (Exo 23:20). You'll Never Walk Alone.
